Printing Guide

Hey there!

This page will give you some instructions on how to print and use the various resources you can find at moomookachoo.com

Printing an A5 Booklet

Resources like the Explore-the-world-from-home Guides and Passport pages are provided as an A5 Booklet PDF. This means that with the right settings, the document can be printed out as a ‘booklet’ on A4 paper where all the pages are printed in the correct order. You just need to assemble the booklet by folding the pages in half. This will work if you have a printer that prints on two sides.

You have the option of printing them out single sided and assembling the booklet with staples, or by gluing the correct pages back-to-back.

In the instructions below we have given steps for if you are using Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is free and can be downloaded here https://get.adobe.com/reader/

An alternative to Adobe (for those that are different!) is Foxit Reader which can be downloaded here https://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-reader/

If your printer can only print one sided:

Open the file, then click the File Menu > Print. The Print dialog box will open up. Make sure the settings below are set as:

  • Choose your printer from the dropdown box

  • Pages to print: select ‘ALL’

  • Page size and handling:

    • Choose the ‘BOOKLET’ button

    • Booklet subset: ‘FRONT SIDE ONLY’

    • Binding: ‘LEFT’

  • Orientation: ‘PORTRAIT’

  • Click ‘PRINT’

This will print out all the ‘front side’ pages. You will need to repeat this process and print out the back side pages by changing the setting to:

  • Booklet Subset: ‘BACK SIDE ONLY’

  • Click ‘PRINT’

Now by carefully following the page numbers printed on the document, you can glue, tape, or staple the pages blank sides together to assemble the booklet in the correct order.

If your printer can print both sides:

Open the file, then click the File Menu > Print. The Print dialog box will open up. Make sure the settings below are set as:

  • Choose your printer from the dropdown box

  • Pages to print: select ‘ALL’

  • Page size and handling:

    • Choose the ‘BOOKLET’ button

    • Booklet subset: ‘BOTH SIDES’

    • Binding: ‘LEFT’

  • Orientation: ‘PORTRAIT’

  • Click ‘PRINT’

Now, keep the pages in the order they printed out, fold the pages in half, and staple or thread a string through the spine to assemble the booklet.
